Pärnu hotelli Strand administraator Meelis Kõiv (55) on oma ametis üle elanud Eesti taasiseseisvumise, majandusbuumi ja -languse ning majanduse taastumise. 20 aasta jooksul on ta näinud nii mõndagi, mis siiani muigama ajab või targu vaikima sunnib.
Moodne ja avar konverentsihotell Strand on suvepealinnale kohaselt täis saginat ja võõraid nägusid. Üks nägu on siin see-eest tuttav juba 20 aastat. Vastuvõtulaua taga tervitab valget triiksärki kandev tõsise olekuga administraator Meelis Kõiv.
Elektrikust administraatoriks
Meelisest on saanud Strandis omamoodi majakas, kes püsib vankumatult samal kohal ja pakub vanadele külastajatele taaskohtumisrõõmu ja kodust tunnet. „Alustasin siin 1992. aastal turvamehena. Sõber kutsus. Oli kõle ja külm aeg, 24-tunnised vahetused, nõukogude aja lõpp ja uue aja algus. Esimesel päeval eksisin siin majas üldse ära,“ meenutab ta.
Kuigi 60 toast on aja jooksul saanud 187 ja esialgsest Vene infoagentuuri APN pansionaadist kasvanud välja populaarne ja moodne spaa, on raskemad töörügamised jäänud minevikku.
Taasiseseisvumisajal tuli öösiti ikka ette ärevamaid hetki, seetõttu valvasid korda just sellised karusemad ja suuremad mehed nagu Meelis. Aasta pärast liikus ta edasi vastuvõtutöötaja ametisse, kuhu on jäänud tänaseni. Miks? „Seda on mult palju küsitud ja ma küsin vastu – kuhu ma ikka lähen? Mind on küll teistessegi hotellidesse kutsutud, kuid ma pole neilt isegi palganumbrit uurinud. Ma pole ärajooksja tüüp,“ selgitab ta.
Meelise lojaalsust näitab ka hõre CV, kus peale vastuvõtutöötaja ameti võib leida veel elektriku oma. Elektritöid tegi Meelis enne Strandi aega, kuid vähene nõudlus sundis muid töökohti otsima. Meelis naerab, et ega ta praegugi elektrikapist särakat saaks ning vajalikud elektritööd on kodus kõik endal tehtud.
Hotellis ta peale tulede väljalülitamise elektriga suurt kokku ei puutugi. Seevastu muid põnevaid juhtumeid tuleb ikka ette. „Üks esimesi meeldejäävaid kogemusi oli ühe Norra grupiga. Tulid siia ja vaatasin, et väheke teistmoodi, aga ei saanud aru ka, mis lahti. Hiljem siis selgus, et tegu oli vaimuhaigetega. Meid polnud ette ka hoiatatud,“ meenutab Meelis. „Nendega juhtus kogu aeg midagi. Kes ei saanud tuppa, kes ei osanud tagasi tulla. Üks hakkas taksoga Oslosse sõitma …“
Eks erakordsete juhtumite pagasi ole suureks paisutanud ka hotelli juures tegutsev ööklubi. Seal toimunu meenutamisel jääb Meelis targu tagasihoidlikuks. 
Seevastu meenuvad talle paljud toredad kliendid. „On kundesid, kes käivad siin mitu korda aastas. Soome pensionärid lähevad oma koerte-kassidega igal hommikul jalutama ja tulevad pärast rääkima. Nad võtavad mind kui oma inimest ja pajatavad, kui koer on ära surnud või muud juhtunud. Mina olen neile kõigile tuttav, kuid mul endal tuleb ikka meenutada, kes on kes.“
Abiks tuleb olla ka peredraamade klaarimisel, halvemal juhul on vaja ka politsei abi. Meelis lisab, et soomlane kardab ainuüksi sõna „politsei“ ja taltub sellestki. Eestlane on seevastu bravuurikam. „Kui ta on purjus,“ täiendab Meelis.
Venelased on üldiselt nõudlikud. Kui nad on varakamad, siis tahavad ikka korralikku sööki, tuba ja pidu ega koonerda. Põhjamaalased, eriti eestlased, on seevastu suured kauplejad. Eestlane ei pea paljuks ka ööbimishinna üle tingida.
Jaapanlased on aga kõige usinamad kodutöö tegijad: Meelist on korduvalt üllatanud, kuidas Jaapani turist oskab küsida sõitu Kihnu saarele või Soomaale.
Viimasel ajal voorib Strandi taas eksootilistest kohtadest tulnud kliente. Kõige raskemad ajad on Meelise arvates selja taga. „Viimane majanduslangus oli raske. Palgad vähenesid, rahvast ei käinud enam, kõikjalt tuli kokku hoida. Talvel oli ikka päris kurb ja elu suri nagu välja,“ meenutab ta.
Kõige mustemad aastad olid tema sõnul 2007 ja 2008. Nähes praegu fuajees sagivaid inimesi ja kuuldes eri keeli, võib öelda, et Strand on raskused üle elanud. Praegust buumiajaga küll võrrelda ei saa. „Siis oli kogu aeg üks hotell puudu – kohti polnud!“ ütleb Meelis.
Turu asemel Torile
Kuigi Strandis kostab enamjaolt võõrkeeli, on Meelise hinnangul ka eestlasi hotellis omajagu. Väga palju on ka venelasi. Suvi on üldse töötajatel kiire aeg. Vahel pole aega söömagi minna, sest telefon heliseb ja samal ajal tuleb tegeleda mitme murega. Kes ei saa telekat mängima, kes ei saa akent lahti, kes tahab infot vaatamisväärsuste kohta. Samas tuleb teha ka põhitööd – võtta vastu uusi kliente.
Kõige rohkem päritakse teenindajatelt, kust süüa saab. Esmalt soovitab Meelis mõistagi Strandi restorani, teisena jahisadamat. Vaba aja veetmiseks soovitab ta laenutada rattad ning minna linna peale tiirutama. Kui linnast küllalt, siis võiks ära vaadata ka Tori hobusekasvatuse. Sellega meenub talle taas üks lustakas lugu. „20 aastat tagasi ei osanud taksojuhid õieti soome keelt. Juhtuski kord nii, et üks taksojuht oli jõudnud turistidega poolele teele Torisse, kui lõpuks aru sai, et tori tähendas hoopis turgu.“
Põnevaid juhtumeid teab Meelis teisigi, kuid jääb neist rääkides tagasihoidlikuks. „Eks kõike ole nähtud ja tuntud inimesi on siit läbi käinud, aga ei saa rääkida. Aastaid tagasi käis pidevalt ajakirjanikke, kes pakkusid raha, et infot saada,“ räägib Meelis. Kuid lojaalne töötaja jääb vankumatuks nagu tinasõdur, ainult salakaval läige silmis ja naeruturtsatus reedavad, et nähtud on nii mõndagi.
Meelis tunnistab, et külgelöömiskatseid pole kuraasikad naiskliendid talle veel teinud, aga üks baarmen üritati küll ükskord tuppa ära lohistada. Strandi mehed on jäänud siiski tööpostile truuks ja flirdiga neid teelt ei eksita. Isegi mitte hilistel õhtutundidel. Meelise töö kestab õhtul kaheksast hommikul kaheksani – see on aeg, mil inimesed on kõige lustakamad ja häbematumad. Öist vahetust on Meelis eelistanud juba viis aastat. „Olen naljatamisi öelnud, et ei taha ülemusi nii tihti näha,“ sõnab ta naeru pugistades.
Selline rütm talle enda sõnul sobib, sest ta on terve elu olnud öise eluviisiga. Tervisele pole see hakanud. „Vererõhk on korras,“ kinnitab ta.
Ka üleval püsimisega pole raskusi. Vähemalt pole kolleeg seni harjavarrega suskama pidanud. Pidevad telefonikõned hoiavad üleval ja kui ka tukk peale tikub, siis kõrvad on Meelisel alati lahti. Pealetükkiva une vastu saab abi värskest õhust ja veest. Ei mingit kohvi!
Eks ka põnevad juhtumid hoia meele ärksana. Kord tuli üks neiu varahommikul leti äärde ja palus Meelist kolmandale korrusele üht noorhärrat abistama minna. Meelis leidis eest porgandpalja noormehe, kes oli kirglikus hüvastijätus end valele poole ust lukustanud. Selliseid olukordi lahendab hotellitöötaja stoilise rahuga. Pärin, kas siis vähemalt hiljem ajab omaette kihistama. „Noh, eks see ole ikka huvitav …“ ütleb ta naerma turtsatades.
Teinekord tuleb ette hoopis tõsisemaid juhtumeid. Hiljuti suri linnas peo ajal ühe grupi liige. Siis tuli organiseerida eksprompt leinaüritus ja pakkuda igakülgset tuge.
Sellist suhtumist kliendid ei unusta. Meelis viipab vastuvõtulauale, kus on vaasitäis roose. „Jäetakse ka kommikarpe, saadetakse postkaarte. Üks soomlane saatis aastaid jõuludel ja uuel aastal postkaardi just minu nimele. Ei teagi, millega silma jäin. Helistab ka aeg-ajalt ja uurib, kuidas läheb,“ räägib Meelis. Tuleb ette, et kingitakse ka muusikaplaate.
Inimene loob esmamulje
Aastatega on Meelise silm muutunud teravaks. Venelase ja soomlase tunneb ta iga kell ära. „Soome pensionäripaar käib nagu õde-venda: ühtemoodi dressid ja tossud, nagu kaksikud! Vene naine seevastu on väga julge: läikiv miniseelik, ise kulda ja karda täis. Teised rahvused nii väga ei julge ennast ehtida,“ räägib Meelis.
Riiete põhjal hotellis ööbimise sobivust muidugi ei hinnata. Kui dokument on taskus ja klient suudab maksta, saab öömaja ikka!
Kliente jälgivad teenindajad aga küll, vahel lausa mängulises mõttes. Mõnikord jälgib Meelis, kumba teenindaja poole klient pöördub. Kui ta ise on vanemate härrasmeeste magnet, siis laua teises otsas istuv neiu tõmbab rohkem nooremat põlvkonda. „Ju nad vaatavad, et ma olen kuri onu,“ muigab ta. „See-eest on mulle öeldud, et vanematele inimestele ma sobin, olen neile justkui kamraad.“
Selles ametis kohtab sadu ja sadu inimesi. Seetõttu naudib Meelis hetki, mil saab üksinda kodus istuda, küll mitte vaikuses. „Kuulan hästi palju muusikat. Ikka Led Zeppelin ja Rolling Stones!“ märgib ta. Viimase on ta oma silmaga ära näinud ja hiljuti Paul McCartneygi. Muusikast on Meelis tõesti vaimustuses, kuigi ise laulda ega pilli mängida ei mõista.
Töö polegi tema arvates kõige tähtsam. „Ei saa end päris ohverdada. Praegu on tähtis, et poiss lõpetab tehnikaülikooli ja et ta saaks järje peale,“ arutleb ta.
Eks tähtis ole ka see, et tervis vastu peaks. Oma panuse annab Meelis sellesse igapäevase rattasõiduga. Viis kilomeetrit tööle ja sama palju tagasi koju. Hea meelega kõnnib ta ka hotellis ringi ja abistab külalisi. Kui aega üle jääks, läheks ujumagi. Seepeale jagab ta nõu: „Keskranda ei soovita ma minna – seal on liiga palju rahvast. Linna ääres on palju paremad rannad ja parema liivapõhjaga, minge sinna!“ 
Meelise soovitusi tasub uskuda: ta on neid jaganud varsti lausa veerand sajandit. Ta on näinud hotelli ülesehitust, vahetuvaid inimesi ja mitut direktorit. Mine tea, kas ta saab näha ka aega, mil vastuvõtuteenindajaid polegi enam vaja ja hotellid toimivad elektrooniliselt: pistad kaardi masinasse ja vastu saad toavõtme. „Inimene on ikka see, kes jätab hotellist esmase mulje,“ ütleb Meelis, lükates sellised arengud kaugemasse tulevikku.
Seda, millise mulje ta ise hotellist jätta võib, ei oska ta öelda. Kui kaua veel, samuti mitte. „Seda otsustavad teised,“ sõnab ta tagasihoidlikult. Tuleviku üle pole ta mõtisklenud ega teisi variante kaalunud. „Ma pole karjerist, et kuhugi tõuseks. Ma olen lihtsalt laisk inimene.“
Nii oskaks ta vajadusel olla ka töötegemise ja rahvamassideta. Aga senikaua, kuni võimalust antakse, tervitab ta kõiki lahkelt Strandis.
Meelis soovitab teistelgi eestlastel suvepealinna tulla, rattaga ringi sõita ja muidugi ka Strandi külastada. „Siin on väga head toidud!“ rõhutab ta.
Mõistagi võib julgelt ka Eesti ühele staažikamale vastuvõtutöötajale lihtsalt tere ütlema tulla.

Administraator on esimene inimene kellega klient kokku puutub. Tema asjakohane ja heatahtlik suhtumine on väga tähtis. Mina ei ole küll Meelise teenendualasse sattunud, kuid Pärnus olen alati kohanud oma ala tundvate töötajatega. Meelsasti ööbiksin ka Strandis. Jaksu ja jõudu Meelisele ja kõikidele teenendajatele nende raskes töös.
Overall, I think the park looks very nice since it has reopened.I do think, thuogh, that I would like to see more overall green and vegetation, especially in the form of wild areas. A lot of trees came down, and while the current park is still very green, I would like to see it planned so that the vegetation can fill out more in the future.I maintain a page about , and according to the principles explained on that page, the current landscaping in Clark Park is good, but could be better. I think the weakest point is that there are virtually no wild areas. Yes, it is a small city park, but there is more than enough room for small wild areas, especially in the flower beds in various parts of the park. Maintaining these beds is labor- and resource-intensive. Leaving areas wild can both save on maintenance effort and costs, and also provide greater ecological value.Rather than planting these with purchased, cultivated plants, I think it would be better to grow native plants from seed, and then maintain the beds only by removing aggressive non-native plants and trimming the beds.People might say but we want the park to look nice , and it looks ugly if it’s overgrown. But personally, I think that the lusher and denser the vegetation, the nicer it gets. Air quality is also an issue in Philly in the summer, and the denser and more diverse the vegetation is, the more pollutants will be absorbed. Current, to me, the park looks too carefully manicured for my aesthetic sense. Everything in it is carefully landscaped and planted. I would appreciate a wilder, more lush park, filled out with dense vegetation in the flower beds, with native plants allowed to reproduce naturally in a number of areas.What do you think? I would like to work together with others to make this happen.

Hea teenindaja hotelli vastuvõtus on on väga oluline, võiks öelda, et ta on kui hotelli visiitkaart.Kahjuks ei ole ma ise küll Pärnus puhkamas käinud, aga seda artiklit lugedes tekkis küll soov Strandis kasvõi kordki ära käia. Sobib ideaalselt vastuvõttu. Sinna sobivadki sellised inimsed kellega klient end ebamugavalt ei tunne ja kohe omaks võtab. Kamraad nagu siin mainiti.

Ma arvan ka, et administraator on hotellis väga tähtis ja temast oleneb, mis mulje hotellist jääb. Mina läheksin küll hea meelega just tema juurde, sest ilmselgelt on tal piisavalt staaži, et anda parimaid soovitusi, mida teha, kus süüa ja kuhu minna. Üks administraator peakski täpselt selline olema!
Yeah, I have a policy of never ponistg anything online that can’t be traced back to me be it coffee reviews or stupid opinions, or anything I write. I think anonymity is almost always out of fear of being accountable (though sometimes perhaps to protect loved ones from the ramifications of controversy). Sometimes the fear is justified. I know the value of good reviews (having worked in PR where part of my job was getting good reviews for restaurants, cafes, and tourism businesses) and the damage a bad review does. But bad reviews, if they’re honest, can also be helpful. If people can discern what criticism is fair and what is dumb. But most people, especially small business owners who are personally invested/identify with their product can’t really detach themselves from their product to do that (in my experience, and it’s really quite understandable). Do you think your friends whose coffee you fear know they make bad coffee? Would it help their business to be told? But I don’t think the response to this is to not write reviews. It’s about, in my opinion, greater accountability for reviewers, more educated reviewers, and reviewers who understand what the average consumer wants. I’m not sure Q graders or people ensconsed in the industry are the best people to be doing that but someone needs to bridge the gap a little bit between the educated consumer and the masses. I love how Cup does it, actually. The unclickable links cards that Cup has on the counter are great, as are the labels that come with their bags of coffee.

Strand on ainkuke hotell kus ma üldse peatun kui Pärnus olen. ja ma olen seal olnud päris palju 🙂
Alati olen saanud supperlux teenindust ja mis iganes ka on olnud probleem on see alati lahendatud väga kiiresti..

Only a couple of years back, Piccaver’s ( Jepco’) were being advised not to invest large sums in high technology farming because of flood risk in the next few years. Planning development for twenty years hence, given this scenario, is akin to rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.
Kahjuks ei ole ühegis hotellis ööbinud, kuid arvan et kõik algab teenindajast. Kui teenindaja on rõõmsameelne ja abivalmis on klient sammuti õnnelik ja tahab järgmine kordki samasse hotelli ööbima minna.

hea teenindaja hotelli vastuvõtus on väga oluline, see sisendab positiivsust ja on hea tulla kohe sellisesse hotelli , kus on head teenindajad. Paneb ka sind tundma,et sind väärtustatakse .
Minu unustamatu kogemus on seotud Pärnu hotelliga, täpselt selle asutuse restorani kelneriga. Meil oli seal hotelliveebi kaudu tellitud romantikapakett koos õhtusöögiga. Vähe sellest, et toit oli ülimaitsev-.Milline üliviisakas teenindus, nii diskreetne suhtumine ja ülim professionaalsus. Ei teagi, et oleks midagi sellist kunagi kuskil mujal kohanud, ei siin ega piiri taga. Aga loomulikult on hotelli esmamulje määraja administraator. Strandis on ka teised teenindajad väga viisakad ja mõnusad suhtlejad. Ei teki tunnet, et sinu, kui rahakoti ees lipitsetakse, vaid tõesti jääb mulje, et oledki väga oodatud kallis külaline.

Well, the new thing is people are srnittag a custom menu to promote other bloggers. Administraator on oluline ja temast sõltub, kas klient tuleb tagasi või ei, tema oskus siluda ebameeldivad olukorrad kiirelt positiivseteks juhtumiteks, tema oskus olla alati käepärast ja olemas osavõtlikult ja abivalmilt, siiralt sõbralik ja mitte võlts, aga selleks peab inimesele endale see töö sobima ja meeldima ja palganumber on siis juba nagu lisaboonus, millega rahul olla, et end väärtuslikuna tunda ka palgamaksjate silmis.
Ive found the cafe owners most upset by these revewis are the passionate ones really trying the best they can to produce something great. I know personally I’ve spent way more money than I need to to produce a coffee, good is easy, but great is tough, and people write that off and think they know best. If I was just in it to make money I would be doing things differently. I’m getting off subject, too late at night with lots going through my head. Beanhunter needs a system that changes depending on what you rate and revewis you like.

“Art making invovles skills that can be learned.” Two years ago, when my journey began in photography, I was not so sure I could create art. However, today I agree with this statement. I have learned how to produce images that have progressed from snapshots to photography through perseverance and hard work. This journey has made me appreciate how difficult it is to produce good art. When I look back on the short time I have been doing photography, I can see that I have grown through these challenges and I enjoy the rewards of my effort.I also agree, “Making art is difficult”. In our time, we are faced with the necessities of making a living which can leave little time for art. Fears about our own ability to create art can be a deterrent to the process of beginning altogether. Making art requires moving outside of your comfort zone to new experiences and feedback. I feel that I have grown the most when I drop all defenses and really listen to criticism.
I do accept as true with all of the ceoncpts you’ve presented on your post. They are very convincing and can definitely work. Still, the posts are too quick for beginners. May just you please lengthen them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.

Strandis olen ööbinud mitu korda ja konverentsidel käimisi ei jõua ülesse lugeda. Nüüd kui seda lugu lugesin, loomulikult tuli ka tuttav nägu meelde. Kõige positiivsem asi selle asja juures on see, et vanemaid inimesi siiski hinnatakse ja võetakse kui eeskuju. Alati ei pea olema hotelli administratsioonis noored keskkooli pingist võetud tüdrukud, kes tavaliselt ei julge suhelda ega ka oska aidata.
20 aastat hotellis on väga pikk aega. Kogemustest ja seikadest saaks kindlasti kokku võga huvitava raamatu. Võibolla pisike idee Meelisele, kui talvisel ajal väga palju sagimist hotellis ei toimu.
Ja kindlasti kiidan ka Starndi restorani. Suurepärased toidud.
Reading Art & Fear was like opening a widonw on some of my thought processes and emotions when I sit down to create. Many times, I am hindered simply by the magnitude of my vision, and the daunting task of putting it on paper, capturing it through a lens, or finding the right words to describe it. It is comforting to me to know that others experience this nail-biting sort of apprehension of what if? when they produce their work. I have allowed myself to sink into procrastination and a sort of despondent hopelessness at times, when I lack the courage to begin creating. In those moments, the thing that brings me back to task once again is the fact that I love to create. The more I create, the more alive I feel. Fame and recognition for my work would be a nice thing, I have no doubt, but is that why I create? I fully agreed with the statement that those who love us will appreciate our work, if only because they love and appreciate us. I have found that encouragement from loved ones to be a great source of motivation to keep going with my work, even when my own critical eye has not been satisfied with what my hands have produced! I grew up in a home that encouraged art, music, reading, writing, etc, and I always knew I had some talent in art, but I never fully committed to being an artist. I think the term scared me. Now I am in my 30 s, and I have just recently begun to really explore various types of art. Photography has been a long-time love of mine, but I hesitated a long time in my pursuit because I felt I could not make money at it. Finally I have decided that it doesn’t matter! In my adventures thus far I have found I am better at certain things than I thought, and really only needed the direction and the tools to hone skills that have gone un-tapped. I am finding the path the author spoke of in the last sentence, and it is a challenging, yet extremely rewarding journey.
I never go to Olive Garden. I don’t like it very much. I’m hooked on the sciniph and artichoke quiche from Terra Cotta so Jim and I have been going there every Friday. He’s always the only man… but the quiche is worth it. One Friday they didn’t have any. We left. 🙂

Hotelli ööbima satume sageli tööga seonduvalt, mis pole meie vaba valik. Oleme kodust ning perest eemal ja päevad kujunevad pikaks. Antud juhtudel on eriti tähtis, et meid võetakse vastu soojade sõnade ning hea tujuga. Vastutulelik teenindus ööbimiskohas on väga tähtis. Hea on tunda, et sind oodatakse ja kõiki kliente teenindatakse võrdselt (eestlane vs soomlane vs venelane vs inglane, jne)
Teenindaja suudab rikkuda palju.
Kurb on tõdeda, et meie endi inimesed (eestlased)ei tuvasta kliendi poolt räägitavat keelt. Selle aasta kevaderioodil olin kahel korral tööga seonduvalt külastamas väga hinnatud ja tunnustatud hotell – spa keskust Tallinnas. Kahjuks antud hotelli teenindajad peegeldasid väga selgelt oma suhtumist eestlastesse. Nt administraator vastas peale “tere” ütlemist mulle kolmes eri keeles. Neljandana tuli pöördumine eesti keeles.
Õnneks on siiski enamus kogemustest positiivsed ja hotellides ning SPAdes töötavad inimesed väga meeldivad, sõbralikud ja hoolivad.

Ise pole kahjuks Strandi veel jõudnud, aga kogu sellest loost jäi väga soe mulje ning kindlasti võimaluse ja/või vajaduse korral külastan ühel päeval ka Strandi ära. Väga positiivne, et nii pikalt seal töötanud meesterahvas loob lihtsalt oma kohalolekuga rahvast täis hotellist kodusema paiga.

I agree with the authors when they say, mnkiag art is difficult. Some view art as taking a lot time, effort, dedication, and sometimes passion for what one is doing. It’s not always easy being a perfectionist, one is often critical about one’s efforts. This is especially true when it comes to critiquing one’s work. Is it considered art if something that is done only because one likes doing it. Must the creative process always be painful and not only done for the sake of enjoyment. Can one enjoy doing art, even if they are not very good? If it is fun, but does not reach a certain standard, is it merely a hobby or a past time? Finally, must it be good to reach the status of art? Is a piece’s value in its acclaim or is it in the satisfaction and attainment of the maker? Is art something that is done for the satisfaction of one’s self, or for benefit of others?I also agree that Artmaking involves skills that can be learned, but the authors also say, that a In large measure an artist consists of learning to accept yourself. This in turn makes the artwork unique and the art tends to reflect the character, and personality of the artist. Art is made by ordinary people. I agree with this statement, because after all, the great and famous artists were once ordinary people to. Every single piece of art can be criticized for its short comings. Ultimately, art is an innately human characteristic prone to imperfections and flaws because that is the nature of human beings.

Pärnu on mulle alati meeldinud ning sinna taasnaasta on sulaselge rõõm. Seoses tegemistega olen sattunud erinevatesse hotellidesse. Strandis viibimisega meenub eriti ehedalt just sinna minek taksoga. Kuna Pärnus toimuvad ulatuslikud trassitööd, siis paljud tänavad on üles kaevatud ning päris lõbus seal liigelda ei ole. Loomulikult tuli sel teemal juttu ka taksojuhiga, kes meie küsimusele – mis toimub, vastas, et Pärnus toimuvad kopameeste MM-id ning sellepärast ongi need tänavad sellised.
Strandis endas saime väga omameheliku vastuvõtu osaliseks. Ei mingit ülespuhutust ega kõrki ametlikust. Ja seda igal pool – vastuvõtus, restoranis, spaas, diskoteekis. Kuna eelnevalt olime tuttavad suuremate spaadega, tundus Strandi oma algul kuidagi väike, kuid teatud puhul oli see isegi eelis – puudusid üle peade jooksvad lapsed ja karjuvad noored. Need kes olid, olid väga toredad ja viisakad. Samuti meeldis väga diskoteek. Baarmeni omamehelik ja tähelepanelik suhtumine, turvaline keskkond ning lõbus seltskond. Kuna ei ole suur alkoholi tarbija, olin meeldivalt üllatunud kui umbes 40 minuti pärast jälle tellima minnes, mäletas baarmen täpselt mida me oma kaaslasega tellinud olime.
Igatahes edu veel pikkadeks tegutsemisaastateks Strandile. Kindlasti lähen sinna veel ka edaspidi.
Kui hotell on kallis, siis on ka teenindajad reeglina viisakad. Raha teadagi paneb isegi rattad käima.
Hoopis olulisem roll on teenindajal aga pisut odavamas hotellis. Kui sellise hotelli admin juba uksel naeratab, siis tunned end mõnusalt ja lähed sinna jälle. Näiteks põhjusel, et hotell asub kesklinnas, isegi siis kui hommikusöök pole kõige rikkalikum.

Vastuvõtus töötavad inimesed loovad vaieldamatult esmamulje. Kui ma olen esmakordselt mõnes riigis, siis on administraatoril osa ka selles, milline mulje mulle sellest maast jääb. Olen tänulik neile hotellide vastuvõtus töötajatele, kellel jagub sooja, sõbralikku pilku ja oskust öelda rõõmsalt tere. Pisiasi iseenesest, aga pisiasjadest kõik algabki.
Pärnus kahjuks pole puhkamas käinud, aga Saaremaal ja Laulasmaal mitmed ja mitmed korrad…Saaremaa GOSPA oli ja on meie pere vaieldamatu lemmik, kuna sinna saabudes ja seal olles pole kunagi midagi negatiivset kogenud, alati tundsid, et oled sinna oodatud , teenindused on suurepärased ..Laulasmaast on saamas teine lemmik, siiani on meie soovid tubade puhul saanud täidetud ja mis mõlema Spa puhul oluline…hotelli saabudes vastuvõttev personal on alati olnud lahke ja naeratav! Pisiasjad on need, mis viivad aina uuesti ja uuesti tagasi kohtadesse, mis on armsaks saanud..Kindlasti võtame plaani ka Pärnut külastada…miks mitte, kes teab, ehk saab sellest meie lemmik nr.3 🙂
Mina peaks kiitma Vihula mõisa teenindajaid. Sattusin sellel laupäeval Vihula mõisa ja rahvast oli administraatori juures palju (kuna oli moment gruppe väga palju ja ühed pulmad) ja teate kui hea tunne oli kui üks noormees-tõenäoliselt oli restorani teenindaja -unustasin nime vaadata – tuli ja ütles ilusasti viisakalt. Vabandage, rahvast on palju, palun oodake mõni minut -kohe jõuab järg ka Teieni. Tänasin ilusatsi ja palusin veel tualeti asukohta ja teenindaja väga viisakalt näitas. Minu silmis oli hea teenindus- ma olin kaugelt tulnud ning teenindaja käitumine oli super. Hiljem soovisiin Vihula mõisa palmimaja – kahjuks olid just moment pulmad ja tein Vihula teenindaja vabandas viisakalt ja ütles ilusastsi kui jälle tulete meile külla, siis on ikkagi võimalus näha palmimaja. Palun külastage meid ka teinekod. Suured tänud Vihula Mõisa teenindajatele!- nii hea tunne jäi -mõlemad tänasid. Päev oli kohe ilus! Kui ma teaks antud teenindajate nimesid Noormees oli üleni valges riietuses ja naisterahvas pikas maanis kleidis -nimesildid olid olemas, aga mul jäi märkamata-siis tänaksin mõlemat teenindajat ka personaalselt.

Kui võrrelda ikka soomlasi ja eestlasi siis tõesti peab ikka kannatust jätkuma, et selliseid” põtru” rahuldada. Olen juhunud nägema millised on toad pärast nende lahkumist ja usun, et eks sealt võib nii mõndagi mittemeelepärast leida.
Kindlasti pole see igale inimesele jõukohane jääda igati viisakaks, suruda maha nii tahtmine “naerda kui ka nutta” kliendi üle. Kindlasti mängib selles ka oma rolli perekond ja sportimine. Sellistest inimestel kellel oma töökohas lastakse areneda, antakse võimalust tõusta karjääriredelil järjest kõrgemale, alustades hästi algusest tulevadki kõige paremad ja lojaalsemad töötajad, kellele võib alati ja igas situatsioonis kindel olla. Nii et võiks kiita ka kogu Strandi juhtkonda!

I feel that so much of the time I know what I want to do and I can see it so clearly in my mind, but the end result is not always what I had in mind. The pcrseos and learning the tricks of the trade’ have taught me more than if I just magically created what was in my minds eye every time. I feel encouraged with the suggestion of art being made by ordinary people’ but there are so many amazing artists who are just clearly not ordinary and have a true gift from the gods. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
